“ We had ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee pudi masala dosa and rava masala dosa with filter coffee. It is the closest taste I have had when compared to authentic Indian food. A must try! ”
“ Best restaurant in Lüneburg, hands down. SüDesi offers a regional cuisine that is not what you typically find in Indian restaurants in Germany. The rasam (spiced soup) was clear and a great palate cleanser to start with. The dosa (think huge crispy pancakes) was light and subtly sweet. The fried rava dosa had spices and cashew nuts inside its batter, and we couldn't get enough of the potato masalla The curry and chutneys that accompanied them were each delicious on their own and together very well coordinated. (The grated coconut chutney is a thing of dreams.) We had gulab jamon (fried sweet curd balls in syrup) for desert. They was served hot in a light syrup. Perfect. Also, while they do serve meat, the menu has more vegetarian options than probably all of the other restaurants in Lüneburg put together. (Indian ones besides, perhaps.) The service was friendly and fast, the whole meal cost about €15 per person (we didn't drink), and finally, they're open until 22.00, which is later than most places apart from Mälzer. ***** ”
“ To start with, I want to comment on the cleanliness. The place was super clean and tidy when I visited even though it was fully occupied. The people who took the order and served my food were so nice to me. Also, the food they served was so tasty and it matched the taste of foods which I used to get in my city in India. Highly recommended place if you want to taste authentic south Indian dishes. Side note: Dosa will be a must try thing in this place. ”
